Writing the history of Carter Machinery titled From Carter Machinery Company To The Beirne Carter Foundation - Remembering Beirne Blair Carter  was my most difficult assignment. This is because the focus of this book, the founder Beirne B. Carter, passed away before I began writing about his achievement of building one of the most successful Caterpillar dealerships in the country. He was a master of money and business and I concluded this project with a unique respect for him because of his many insightful processes for reaching his goals.
